About the Archduchy of Alhambra

A living tradition of history, courtesy, and fellowship.

The Archduchy of Alhambra is a chapter of The Adrian Empire, Inc., an international historical society dedicated to recreating the culture, arts, and ideals of medieval and Renaissance Europe.

We gather together to learn, create, compete, and celebrate. Through tournaments, feasts, arts and sciences, music, ceremony, and service, our members bring history to life while building friendships that extend beyond the event itself.

What Is the Adrian Empire?

The Adrian Empire is a historical recreation organization where members take on roles inspired by the medieval and Renaissance periods. Participants may explore many different aspects of the era, including heraldry, craftsmanship, combat, scholarship, performance, and courtly traditions.

The Society welcomes people of many interests and backgrounds. Some members come for history, some for creativity, some for competition, and some simply for the fellowship of a welcoming community.

Why "Archduchy"?

Within the Adrian Empire, local chapters are organized into realms and territories with medieval-inspired titles. The Archduchy of Alhambra carries that tradition forward by creating a place where members can gather, learn, and participate in the life of the Society.
